I am Ekaterina Matei - a surface pattern designer and illustrator behind Creative Dialogue Studio. My work is nature-inspired, minimal, but most of all, story-driven. It is deeply rooted in memory and emotion—my own quiet creative dialogue.
My ideas often begin with the little things I notice and collect around me, things that trigger a memory or emotion. I love pressing flowers and then finding myself sketching them, wandering through charity shops, and getting lost in old botanical books and vintage postcards. These small discoveries often become the starting point for a new collection.

I love creating designs where florals, folk-inspired details, nostalgic scenes, and elements from nature come together to tell a gentle story.
Through Creative Dialogue Studio, I create collections designed to feel timeless, considered, and full of character, while remaining versatile for fabric, wallpaper, stationery, home décor, and other creative applications.
I’m open to licensing, commissions, and creative collaborations with brands and art directors looking for distinctive, thoughtfully crafted pattern collections. Each design is vectorised and ready for production in multiple colorways.
